The Martindale Centre, once a Congregational church, was bought and refurbished by the parishioners of St Giles Church and other villagers in 1987. It is used for various parish purposes, but is also available for hire as a whole, or in part. The Martindale is very close to the centre of Horsted Keynes Village with extensive views over the Sussex Weald from both halls and free car parking.

The Centre underwent a major refurbishment in 2012/13, when the kitchen was significantly enlarged and refitted to a high standard. The beautiful Gothic window in the main hall was installed at the same time. Complete redecoration, including lightening all the wooden panelling, has taken place since then and the building has a light and airy feel. The facilities are suitable for a very wide variety of purposes and events including:

• Exercise and other classes. Keep Fit, Pilates, Swoove Groove and others are already offered, but there is scope for more
• Meetings of all types, with a choice of large or small halls, or both
• Away days, quiet days etc. A leaflet containing a number of short walks in the surrounding countryside is provided
• Social events of all types including family celebrations, wedding receptions, funeral wakes, parties and fund-raising events. The large, well-stocked kitchen, with a high-speed dishwasher, makes the Martindale an ideal location for any events involving catering.
